Integrated Family bonding and learning activities by Imagin8tors: Secret lives of Bugs

—–EVENT UPDATE: Secret lives of Bugs has been rescheduled to Sunday Nov 15th 3:30-5:30pm due to ongoing Haze conditions—–

Step aide haze, little kids in Singapore want to go exploring nature and learn all about flowers, plants, leaves and bugs! Secondsguru loves the “Tomorrow’s Imagineers” series by Imagin8ors, an education technology start-up based in Singapore. The  highly imaginative team at Imagin8ors creates and curates experiences for parents and kids to participate jointly in workshops and activities with the objective of nurturing creativity and imagination in kids! In fact they will be conducting workshops every weekend from now (Oct 2015) till December 2015. Full marks for awesomeness! For more information on the repertoire of the activities every weekend till December 2015, visit Imagin8ors.

“Secret Lives of Bugs at Bollywood Veggies” is one such experience where Imgin8ors has collaborated with Bollywood Veggies for parents and kids to bond while reconnecting with nature. As your child and you walk around a countryside farm, you will explore together as well learn new concepts and facts about your surroundings that are often overlooked or taken for granted. Your child will be given a selfie stick (to which they will attach your smart phone) and a macro lens to capture images and videos. After the walk, they will sit down and create their own “Bugbots” as a craft activity with a twist; the twist being that the Imagin8ors team will teach them how to create simple circuits in the otherwise uncomplicated art and craft activity!
