Sipping Green at NamNam Noodle BarWhen it comes to going green, even the small things count. We at Secondsguru  the green initiative of using bamboo straws and recycled paper serviettes at NamNam Noodle Bar. Their eco-friendly and biodegradable straws are made by people with disabilities from Can Tho province in Ho Chi Minh City.

Did you know: Drinking straws seems like a small amount of plastic to throw away, until you think of how many of these are used each day.  According to the Ocean Conservancy report, plastic straws are in the top 5 of the world’s marine debris – right up there with plastic bottles and food wrappers! Being a single-use disposable product, they can’t even be reused!

So, let’s do our bit to reduce the use and waste of disposable plastic straws and keep them from piling in our landfills, streams, oceans, and beaches. Next time, simply request “no straw” at bars & restaurants or carry your own reusable bamboo, paper or stainless steel straw. Save the planet one bamboo straw at a time.
