If you are connected with fashion in any way- you like to dress up, you work in the fashion industry or just love shopping (that should cover just about everyone in Singapore), then take time out to attend the launch of Connected Threads Asia on Friday, October 23rd, 2015. Connected Threads Asia is the brain child of Agatha(Agy ) Lee (Singapore’s most loved eco-designer and founder of Green Issues by Agy) andRaye Padit (Founder of PeyaR, a label that upcycles textile waste). It aims to be a platform where all the stakeholders of the fashion industry in Singapore – designers, manufacturers and consumers – can collaborate via events, discussions and dialogue with the ultimate objective to make the industry a socially and environmentally responsible one.
Behind the label is the first such event in the series where a panel of experts who are running businesses/ fashion brands in Singapore will share their experiences, and challenges in the fashion supply chain and discuss how these hurdles can be crossed sustainably. This will be followed by the Singapore premiere of the award-winning documentary “Cotton Road”.
When : 23 October 2015, 7pm onwards
