At our home, we often contend with problem of the Goldilocks items – stuff not pretty enough to keep, nor broken enough to throw. This office chair for instance: we bought it cheap for a laptop corner in a rented house. It served rather too well, lasting way, way beyond the laptop or our house rental did! Luckily, our upcycling project saved us from wasting this sturdy seat. All we did was add a coat of acrylic paint through stencil, and then a lacquer finish. Ta-da! From hiding behind the closet to monitoring our hallway, this chair has finally found its place.
